Our newest addition to the Cooper family!  Brock Jaxon joined us on June 1, 2011 at 2:19pm.  Little did we know that our hearts would grow even bigger to have as much love for the little guy as we do for big brother!  I ran in to a sweet lady at one of Dane's doctor appointments before Brock was born and she is the author of a book about how there is enough love in a mother's heart for more than one!  I haven't picked it up yet but I plan to.  I'll find the exact title and post it so you can look it up too.  I believe it is a book that helps siblings accept the new addition!  It is funny how things work out and that sweet woman happened to be there (by mistake she had the wrong day) when we were because those of you that know me I had severe guilt about bringing another little one into the world with Dane being so young.  I did my best all 9 months to make sure that he didn't miss out on one second of his fun 2 year old life!

Dane has made the adjustment to big brother status pretty well and only recently has started asking for me to hold him instead of Brock! I guess we all can use a little snuggle and hug from time to time!

Could he be any more proud of his little brother? They absolutely love each other from the very first time! Dane takes every chance he can get to show off his brother to anyone and I do mean ANYONE that will look and listen!

Since Brock has been in this crazy world things have definitely stayed crazy (keeping in line with Cooper tradition)!  He had a severe allergic reaction to the ointment that they put in newborns eyes after delivery.  His little face swelled up so badly that we only have a few pics of us leaving the hospital.

As if that wasn't enough Brock contracted a Staph infection just days after birth and spent the first 20 days of his life on antibiotics and ointment.  Talk about a crazy start!  I did what any new mom should do and stayed off the internet all together to try and not panic.  Our doctor was great and took the most aggressive action rather than prolonging the care.  I think the best news of the day came when we found out he didn't have MRSA! Woohoo! He has grown so much even being sick and is just as happy and laid back as one could ask for.

We are all doing well and starting to be one the go more and more.  Hopefully I won't be so busy and can update a little more frequently now that things have "settled down." (ha!)

Brock's Baby Shower

Sunday a few good friends and family came to honor Brock at his one and only baby shower! It was an amazing event hosted by Anna Adamo, Vicki (Gigi) Carns, and Judy Dittmar!  We gathered at the golf club of Woodbridge and decorated it with bright summer colors!  It was an event to attend.  Each party guest received homemade bath salts in the most precious containers as a thank you for coming and celebrating this new chapter of our family!  I can't tell you how blessed we feel to have such a great support system.  The Cooper house is in count down mode for Brock's arrival.  I've officially hit 36 weeks and go to the doctor once a week to see if the little guy has made an progress or preparation for the big arrival.  Big brother Dane is doing well with the idea of a BABY being in our house.  I absolutely can't wait to snuggle both of my boys.  Thank you again for those of you who came out to help us prepare for Brock's arrival.
